What's inside the checklist

This checklist picks up where our guide to answer engine optimization for ecommerce brands leaves off. It skips the theory and walks a small team through the work: choosing the 15 to 40 pages worth listing, writing the file in the right format, publishing it on your platform, and checking that it loads correctly.

Most of it needs no developer. Shopify, Wix, and WordPress with Yoast SEO all let you publish from the admin, and the template on page 2 gives you a starting file to edit. You'll also get a 15-minute monthly routine for keeping the file current as collections, policies, and seasonal pages change.
